H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 72mm
H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit 72mm | Control light and reflections
Smoother water, more controlled daylight exposures and reduced reflections are the kinds of results this filter is made to help you achieve. The H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit combines neutral-density and circular-polarising functions in a 72mm format. The ND function is useful when bright conditions make it difficult to use the shutter speed or aperture you want; the CPL function helps manage reflections and glare in a scene. That makes it relevant to landscape photographers working with water or bright skies, and to anyone who wants more control over exposure outdoors. The 72mm size is an important practical detail: it needs to match the filter thread on your lens. The title gives no exposure range in stops, so I wouldn’t use its ND3-1000 name to assume a particular shutter-speed change.
Specialist Note
The H&Y HD EVO-Series ND3-1000+CPL Filter Kit is for shaping bright outdoor scenes while also tackling reflections. For a daylight water scene, use the ND function to allow a slower shutter speed and soften the movement; for glare on water or glass, use the CPL function to reduce reflections. The 72mm size makes the first check simple: your lens needs a matching 72mm filter thread. One point to keep in mind is that polarising effects depend on your angle to the light, so the result can change as you move around the scene. It suits landscape work where exposure control and reflected light both matter.
