Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 24 INCHX12 M

Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 24 INCHX12 M | A hemp paper roll for planned photo prints

Instead of choosing individual sheets, this is a roll for photo printing. Hahnemühle Hemp is named as a 290gsm paper, supplied in a 24-inch width and a 12-metre length. That makes it relevant to photographers and printmakers who want those specific dimensions and paper weight for their work. Its stated hemp material is also a clear part of the product’s identity, rather than a detail you have to infer from a paper range. The most straightforward reason to consider it is that combination: hemp paper, 290gsm, and a roll measuring 24 inches by 12 metres. That’s useful when those are the requirements for a print project. The title doesn’t tell us how the paper looks or handles, so it’s best to choose it for the stated material and format, not an assumed surface effect.

Planning around the roll

The fixed 24-inch width gives you a starting point for laying out prints, while the 12-metre length helps you estimate how much paper a run may use. The amount available for finished images will depend on the lengths you print and the space between them, so it’s worth planning a layout before starting a longer job. The 290gsm figure identifies the paper weight; it’s a useful detail to compare against the requirements of your intended print. Keep those three points in view when choosing: the hemp designation, the weight, and the roll dimensions. This listing is specific about those details, but doesn’t give a surface description or printer compatibility information, so we haven’t added claims about either. If the stated format and weight suit your print workflow, the product name gives you the key details to assess it.
