Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic 36''ROLL 12 M

Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic 36''ROLL 12 M | A wide roll for photographic prints

When a photograph is ready to print wider than a sheet allows, a roll can make planning the output more straightforward. Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic is photo paper in a 36-inch roll measuring 12 metres long. The name identifies it as part of Hahnemühle’s Photo Rag Metallic range; the product title gives the practical details to start with: paper, roll format, width and length. It suits photographers and print studios working on wide photographic images or several prints from one roll, where the available width and continuous length matter to the job. The Metallic name also makes this a specific paper choice rather than an unspecified roll of photo paper. For a print project, it’s sensible to plan around the width of the image and the roll’s total length before deciding how much paper the run will use. That’s the clearest way to judge whether this format fits the work at hand.

Planning around the roll

A 36-inch width gives you room to consider wide compositions without treating the paper as a collection of separate sheets. The 12-metre length is useful to keep in mind when estimating a run: think about the intended print lengths and how many prints you expect to make, then compare that with the roll’s total length. Those dimensions are the main concrete points available when choosing this product. The title doesn’t give a surface description beyond “Metallic”, so I’d use that name to distinguish it in your paper selection rather than assume other finish or handling details. If you’re comparing options for a specific job, the width and roll length are the figures to match to your print plan.
