Hama Antenna Cable Coaxstekker - Coax Plug Gold Plated 5.0 M 120 DB

Hama Antenna Cable Coax Plug Gold Plated 5.0 M 120 DB | A five-metre link for antenna connections

For routing an antenna signal to a television position across a room, the Hama Antenna Cable Coax Plug Gold Plated 5.0 M 120 DB gives you a five-metre coax connection to work with. It’s suited to a setup where the antenna outlet and the equipment are separated by some distance, or where you’d rather run the cable along a wall than place everything right beside the outlet. The plug is gold plated, and the cable is rated at 120 dB. Those are the key details to weigh up alongside its length: the route still needs to suit your room, and the coax connection needs to match the socket you intend to use. Its white colour may blend in more quietly with a light wall or skirting board. One practical point: measure the route, including corners, before deciding that five metres gives you enough reach.

Planning the cable route

A cable’s length is most useful when it matches the actual path, not just the straight-line distance between two points. Allow for the route around furniture or along an edge, and consider where the cable will enter and leave the space. A little planning can help avoid stretching it taut or discovering that the final stretch is just out of reach. If the route crosses a doorway or a busy walking area, think about how you’ll keep it out of the way. The white finish is a simple detail to consider when choosing where the cable will run; it may be less noticeable against pale surfaces, while a darker route can make it easier to spot. Keep the connection points accessible so you can reach them when adjusting your setup.
