Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano 46 mm
Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano 46 mm | A simple UV filter for a 46 mm thread
Without a filter, the front of your lens is exposed to dust and fingerprints during everyday use. The Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano is a screw-on UV filter for lenses with a 46 mm filter thread. It suits photographers who want a straightforward filter for that size, whether they’re heading out for a walk or photographing in bright open surroundings. A UV filter’s purpose is to filter ultraviolet light; it can also sit in front of the lens as an extra surface to keep clean. The name includes “390 Nano”, but I wouldn’t read that as a promise of a visible change in every image. For many people, the practical appeal is simpler: a filter you can leave in place when you want an additional layer in front of the lens. It’s a specific fit, so the 46 mm measurement matters. This is a focused accessory, rather than a way to change your lens’s field of view or perspective.
Specialist Note
A UV filter won’t take the place of a lens hood, and I wouldn’t buy one expecting it to transform every photograph. Its appeal is the straightforward combination named here: UV 390 and Nano, in a 46 mm size. If your lens takes a 46 mm filter, you can use it for everyday outdoor photography and keep the filter in place when you’d rather clean the filter surface than the lens itself. I’d also consider it for casual travel or walks, where dust and handling are part of the day. The fit is the key detail: match that 46 mm figure to the lens’s filter thread, not to the camera body.
