Hama Filter Ultimate UV 37 mm
Hama Filter Ultimate UV 37 mm | A straightforward UV filter for a 37 mm lens
Bright outdoor scenes can look hazy, and it’s frustrating when distant detail loses definition. The Hama Filter Ultimate UV 37 mm is a UV filter for lenses with a 37 mm filter thread. Its job is to filter ultraviolet light, which can help reduce the UV haze that softens far-off subjects in some conditions. It’s suited to photographers who want a simple filter for outdoor scenes, particularly landscapes or views across water and open ground. Keep expectations measured: a UV filter won’t change your framing or give you the stronger creative effects of a polarising or neutral-density filter. This is a specific tool for UV light, not an all-purpose image fix. If your lens takes a 37 mm filter, this Hama filter gives you a direct way to add UV filtering to that setup without changing how you compose or focus.
Specialist Note
There’s a limit to what a UV filter can do: it won’t rescue a scene where mist or glare is already hiding detail. I’d still consider this one when you want UV filtering in a simple, lens-mounted format. The 37 mm size makes it relevant to a specific lens fit, so match that measurement to the lens’s filter thread before choosing it. As a UV filter, it’s most useful for open-air views with distant detail; frame a landscape with a long view across the scene and let the filter do its particular job. It suits someone who wants that straightforward purpose, rather than a filter for changing reflections or exposure.
