Hama Grey Filter-Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 62 mm w/ Filtertas
Hama Grey Filter-Set ND8 ND64 ND1000 62 mm w/ Filtertas | Control daylight for longer exposures
Smoother water and more movement in clouds are possible even when the daylight is bright: this Hama grey filter set reduces the light reaching your camera, so you can use a slower shutter speed. It’s for photographers who want to explore long exposures or need to manage bright light without changing the scene. The set includes three ND strengths, giving you options for different lighting and exposure goals rather than relying on one density for every situation. Use a lighter option when you want a modest adjustment, and a stronger one when you want a more pronounced long-exposure effect. The filters are 62 mm, and the set comes with a filter pouch for keeping them together between uses. It’s a straightforward way to add exposure control to a suitable 62 mm filter setup; the result depends on the light, your camera settings and the effect you’re aiming for.
Specialist Note
A common first-time mistake with ND filters is choosing one strength for every scene; this set gives you three levels to work with. ND8 reduces the light by three stops, ND64 by six, and ND1000 by about ten, so you can step up the reduction as the light or your intended shutter speed calls for it. For a softer water effect, start with ND8 or ND64 and adjust your exposure; for a more pronounced blur in daylight, ND1000 gives you much greater reduction. The 62 mm size is the key fit detail, so match it to a lens with a 62 mm filter thread. The pouch is a welcome practical touch for keeping the set together. Just remember that the strongest filter can make framing and focusing harder once it’s on.
