Hama LED Filament Bulb E27 Tubular T185 Amber Clear Extra Warm White Dimmable | A distinct warm glow with dimming

Choosing a bulb by its fitting alone can leave you with the right fit but the wrong look. The Hama LED filament lamp brings together an E27 base, a long T185 tubular shape and a clear amber appearance, with extra warm white light. It’s for someone who wants those details to be part of the room’s look, rather than choosing a bulb purely as a source of illumination. The dimmable design gives you the option to adjust the light when the connected dimmer is suitable. This is a specific style of lamp, so it makes most sense when its elongated form and warm colour are what you’re after. I’d pay particular attention to the T185 shape when choosing where it will go; it’s a more distinctive profile than a compact bulb.

Choosing by the details

When replacing a lamp, start with the markings on the bulb you’re taking out and the fitting it goes into. The base tells you what needs to connect; the stated shape helps you judge whether the lamp will suit the space available. Then consider the kind of light and appearance you want in the room. A clear amber lamp has a noticeably different look from an uncoloured one, so it’s worth considering how visible the bulb will be once installed. If you plan to dim the light, make sure the dimmer is suitable for the lamp. These checks help you choose by fit and appearance, not just by the word “bulb.”
