Hama Thunderbolt-5-Cable USB-C 80 GBIT/s 5 A 240 W UltraHD 8K 1.00 M

Hama Thunderbolt-5-Cable USB-C 80 GBIT/s 5 A 240 W UltraHD 8K 1.00 M | High bandwidth and power in a 1 m cable

Hama Thunderbolt-5-Cable USB-C 80 GBIT/s 5 A 240 W UltraHD 8K 1.00 M is rated for an 80 Gbit/s data rate, with a 5 A current rating and 240 W power rating. This USB-C cable is built for people planning a connection where fast data transfer and power are both part of the brief. It also carries an UltraHD 8K designation, so the stated figures cover data, power and video. At 1.00 m, it’s intended for a short run between nearby connection points. Measure the route before choosing that length, particularly if the cable needs to pass around furniture or equipment. The black finish is understated. My practical take: the numbers are the reason to consider this cable, but they’re useful only when they match the requirements of the devices and setup at each end. It’s a focused cable choice, not a substitute for checking the needs of a particular connection.

Choosing the right length and ratings

When comparing cables, separate the connection’s data needs from its power and video requirements. A headline figure on its own doesn’t establish what a complete setup can do; the connected equipment and intended use matter too. The 1.00 m length deserves a careful look. It can keep a nearby connection neat, but offers limited slack if you need to route around a desk or other equipment. Measure along the path the cable will actually take, rather than just the distance between the two connection points. I’d shortlist this Hama cable when its stated ratings fit the job and a compact run suits the layout. If the cable needs to travel farther, length is the detail to weigh first.
