Hohem iSteady X3 SE Grey
Hohem iSteady X3 SE Grey | Smoother video while you're on the move
The defining choice with the Hohem iSteady X3 SE is its gimbal-stabiliser design: it’s made to help keep moving video smooth, rather than serve as a fixed support. That makes it a practical option for people who vlog, film a walk or want steadier footage while moving from one scene to another. Its strength is in those everyday moving shots, where each step can otherwise show up in the video. Use it when you want to stay part of the scene rather than stop to set up a static shot. The grey finish gives the product a neutral look, and the straightforward purpose makes it easy to place in a video kit: use it for motion, and choose a tripod or another support when you want a stationary frame. It’s a focused tool for filming on the move, not a camera or a general-purpose support.
Specialist Note
As you move, the X3 SE is there to smooth out the motion that can make walking footage distracting. I’d consider it for a walking vlog or a short moving clip: keep your pace measured, aim the frame where you want it, and let the gimbal stabiliser do its job. It’s also suited to video on the move when you want to keep filming instead of stopping for every shot. The useful distinction is that it’s built for movement, not for holding a static composition like a tripod. If your videos are mostly filmed from one fixed position, that isn’t where this model’s purpose lies; for vlogging and moving shots, its focus is clear.
