HP S5p 24.0 IPS LED 1920x1200 100Hz USB-B | More space for a smoother workday

Get a little more vertical room for documents, web pages and spreadsheets, with scrolling that feels smooth during the day. The HP S5p is a 24-inch monitor for home desks and office setups where everyday work matters more than having a display built around specialist features. Its 1920 × 1200 resolution gives you a taller desktop than a 1920 × 1080 screen, while the 100Hz refresh rate can make movement on screen look more fluid. The IPS panel is suited to shared desks and changing viewing positions, and LED backlighting completes the display specification. It’s a sensible fit for writing, browsing, email and general computer work, especially if you want extra workspace without moving to a larger screen. The title also identifies a USB-B connection. Renz recommends the HP S5p for a straightforward, comfortable desktop display, rather than a monitor chosen for unusually high resolution or specialised performance.

Specialist Note

The HP S5p is at its best as a clear, comfortable screen for daily desk work. At 24 inches, its 1920 × 1200 resolution gives documents and spreadsheets extra vertical room, which is handy when you want to see more of a page without constantly scrolling. I’d use the 100Hz setting for everyday browsing and moving between windows; it can make those small movements feel smoother. Set the display to 1920 × 1200 and select 100Hz in your computer’s display settings to make use of the figures in its name. It suits home office users and general desktop tasks. One limit to keep in mind: 1920 × 1200 isn’t 4K, so I’d choose this for practical workspace, not maximum pixel detail.
