Iiyama 15i LCD 4:3 10-POINTS Touch
Iiyama 15i LCD 4:3 10-POINTS Touch | Direct touch in a classic screen shape
The 4:3 screen shape is the defining choice here: it gives the display a more square working area than a widescreen screen. That can make sense for interfaces designed around vertical menus, forms or fixed-format pages, where extra width would add little. The Iiyama 15i is an LCD monitor with 10-point touch, intended for setups where people need to interact directly with what’s on screen rather than rely only on a mouse. It suits shop counters, information points and other shared workspaces where a clear touch interface is useful. Ten-point touch also allows several touch points at once, which can be useful in software designed for multi-touch gestures. The appeal is straightforward: a familiar screen shape paired with direct interaction. It’s a focused option for touch-led tasks, rather than a display chosen for a wide desktop layout or detailed image work.
Specialist Note
For a shop team running a counter menu or a simple information point, this Iiyama makes sense when the interface is designed for a 4:3 screen. I’d keep the on-screen choices large and well spaced, so visitors can select them comfortably by touch. Its 10-point input can register several touches at once; in compatible software, that leaves room for multi-finger gestures as well as ordinary taps. The LCD format keeps the job clearly focused on displaying and interacting with information. One thing to bear in mind: 4:3 is a more square layout, so a page designed specifically for widescreen may not make the best use of the screen. Match the interface to the shape and it’s a practical fit for shared touch use.
