Iiyama 45IW LCD DQHD Curved VA KVM
Iiyama 45IW LCD DQHD Curved VA KVM | A wide workspace with device switching
Running out of room for open windows, or repeatedly swapping your keyboard and mouse between computers, can interrupt a good working rhythm. The Iiyama 45IW brings a DQHD display, a curved VA panel and KVM functionality together in one monitor. Its wide-format screen is suited to keeping documents, timelines or other work visible side by side, rather than continually switching between full-screen windows. The KVM feature is intended to make it easier to use a keyboard and mouse across connected computers from the monitor setup. That makes this a considered option for desk-based work where a broad view and access to more than one computer matter. The curved design gives the screen a wraparound shape, while VA describes the panel technology. If your usual work fits comfortably in a single window, the extra desktop space may bring less benefit; this monitor makes most sense when you’ll use that width.
Specialist Note
“Is the 45IW mainly for a bigger picture, or for a more practical desk setup?” I’d say it’s the combination: DQHD gives you room to keep two work areas in view, and KVM is there to simplify using a keyboard and mouse with connected computers. For example, you could keep a document beside a reference window, then use the KVM function when moving between your work machines instead of reaching for a second set of controls. The curved VA screen suits people who spend a lot of time at the desk and want that broad layout to feel more joined-up. One honest point: if you rarely multitask, you may not make much use of the extra width.
