Ilford HP5+ 70mm X 50FT Unperforated Ei

Ilford HP5+ 70mm X 50FT Unperforated Ei | A 50-foot roll in unperforated 70mm film

Rather than choosing film by a familiar camera-ready format, this roll is defined by its width, length and lack of perforations. The Ilford HP5+ is a 70mm-wide, 50-foot roll of unperforated film, suited to photographers and darkroom users who specifically need those dimensions and that format. Its appeal is practical: the roll gives you a substantial length of film in one continuous supply, rather than a short, pre-cut amount. That makes the format itself the first thing to consider. If 70mm unperforated film is what your work calls for, the title gives you the key details at a glance. If you’re comparing rolls, pay attention to both measurements: 70mm describes the width, while 50 feet is the roll length. That distinction is useful when choosing by format rather than by brand name alone.

A format-led choice

With this Ilford HP5+ roll, the specific combination matters more than a broad description of the film. It’s 70mm wide, extends to 50 feet and is unperforated. Those details make it easier to narrow down a selection when your requirements are already set. The unperforated format is particularly important to note; it’s not a detail to overlook when comparing it with another roll. The honest point is that the product name gives a clear description of the roll, but it doesn’t explain how it will fit into your individual process. Start with the format you need, then use the stated width and length to make the comparison. For someone seeking exactly this roll format, those concrete details are the reason to consider it.
