Ilford MGFB5K Classic 50.8x61cm 10V. | A large sheet for photo printing

Ilford MGFB5K Classic 50.8x61cm 10V. is photo paper in a generous 50.8 x 61 cm sheet size, for photographers who want a broad working area for a print. That format gives you room to plan an image at scale rather than starting with a small sheet. It suits people making photographs on paper and anyone who needs this particular sheet size for their work. The honest point to keep in mind is that a large sheet calls for a clear plan: decide how the image will sit on the paper before you begin. That makes the dimensions useful information at the start of a project, not just a detail to notice later. If you're comparing paper options, the name and format identify this Ilford product; the colour listed for it is black.

Working with the sheet size

A 50.8 x 61 cm sheet gives you a sizable area to compose within. Think about the intended print dimensions and how much of the sheet you want the image to occupy. If the image is smaller than the full sheet, consider how you want the remaining area to appear in the finished presentation. These are practical decisions to make around the dimensions, rather than extra properties of the paper.

The sheet format can also help when you already have a particular print size in mind: compare that plan directly with 50.8 x 61 cm before choosing. Ilford MGFB5K Classic is a specific option for that format, and its product name is easy to keep to hand when you’re matching paper to a project. The title includes “10V”; that designation is retained as part of the product name here. Choose it for the stated size and product identity, then plan your print around the sheet you’ll be working with.
