Ilford Satin Photo 260GSM 36" 91.4cmx30.5m 1ROLL

Ilford Satin Photo 260GSM 36" 91.4cmx30.5m 1ROLL | Satin-finish photo paper in a wide roll

It’s frustrating to have a print job planned around a particular paper finish, then find that the paper on hand is in the wrong format. Ilford Satin Photo is photo paper supplied as a roll, with a satin finish and a weight of 260 gsm. Its 36-inch width (91.4 cm) and 30.5-metre length make it suited to work that calls for a wide roll rather than individual sheets. That’s the specific appeal here: you can assess the roll’s width and length against the prints you intend to make, and decide whether this format suits your workflow. It’s a straightforward option for photographers or print studios looking for satin-finish photo paper in a broad roll format. The honest point to keep in mind is that choosing paper is as much about the finish and the dimensions your job needs as it is about the paper itself.

Before choosing any roll, think through the finished print dimensions and how you’ll handle the paper in your own workflow. The width is especially important: it sets the maximum width of the material available for a print, while the roll length gives you a sense of the supply on hand. Those measurements are more useful than choosing by product name alone. If your work calls for a satin surface, that finish is part of this paper’s name; if you need a different surface or a sheet format, this description doesn’t point to those options. Keep the measurements to hand when planning a print run so you can compare the paper with the size and format you need.

Ilford Satin Photo is sold as one roll. Its stated measurements are given in both inches and centimetres for the width, with the length in metres, making the roll size easy to read at a glance. Choose it for the satin finish and roll format when those match the job in front of you.
