Ilford Smooth Cotton Sonora 320GSM A3 297x420mm 25SHEETS

Ilford Smooth Cotton Sonora 320GSM A3 297x420mm 25SHEETS | A3 cotton paper for considered prints

Smooth cotton paper gives this Ilford sheet a different starting point from standard photo paper, making it a considered option for photographers and printmakers who want a paper with a cotton identity and a smooth surface. It’s supplied in A3, so there’s room for a larger image or a layout that leaves space around the print. The stated weight is 320gsm, a useful detail when you’re choosing paper for a print you’ll handle or present. The pack contains 25 sheets, which gives you a defined quantity for a small print run or for trying a paper in your own workflow. Sonora is the range name; the title also tells you the surface and material. Those are the details to weigh up first. If they match the look and format you have in mind, this paper is worth considering for photographic prints, artwork or other image-based work.

Planning your print

Before committing an image to a sheet, think about how it will sit on the page. A crop that works on screen may feel different when printed larger, particularly if you want a border or room for a caption. A quick layout or test print can help you judge placement and scale before using a sheet for a final output. Paper choice also depends on the printer and print process you plan to use, so check those against your own setup rather than assuming every paper suits every workflow. The smooth surface and cotton description give you a clear starting point for comparing papers; the final look still depends on the image, your settings and how you choose to present the print. For a planned batch, the 25-sheet quantity makes it straightforward to keep track of how much paper you have available.
