Joby GripTight 360 Phone Mount
Joby GripTight 360 Phone Mount | Hands-free phone framing on a tripod
Holding a phone steady for a clip or call usually means keeping one hand occupied; the Joby GripTight 360 Phone Mount gives your phone a place on a tripod instead. It’s a tripod accessory for people who want to frame with a phone while keeping their hands free. The name points to its 360-degree framing role, which is useful when you want to change how the phone is oriented rather than keep the same view. Think of recording a short video in portrait format, then switching to a wider landscape view, or setting up a hands-free video call. This is a simple, focused piece of kit: it holds a phone as part of a tripod setup. It won’t change the phone’s image quality, but it can make positioning and keeping your hands out of the shot easier. If your phone is how you shoot or communicate, this accessory helps make tripod-based framing part of the routine.
Specialist Note
Can the Joby GripTight 360 Phone Mount help you change phone framing on a tripod? Yes—that’s the point of the 360 name. I’d consider it for hands-free video calls, or for phone clips where you want to switch between portrait and landscape framing; set the phone in the view you need before you start recording. The phone-mount design keeps the purpose clear, while its role as a tripod accessory makes it a straightforward addition to a tripod setup. It suits anyone who regularly uses a phone for video and wants a fixed position. One honest note: it helps with placement, not lighting or picture quality.
