Kaiser Ontwikkelschaal 13x18 White

Kaiser Developing Tray 13x18 Black | A simple tray for darkroom work

When you’re working with prints in the darkroom, a developing tray gives you a place to handle them during the process. The Kaiser Developing Tray is named for the 13x18 format, making it relevant when that’s the size you’re working with. It suits photographers setting up a darkroom workflow around this format, whether they print regularly or only return to darkroom work now and then. Its colour is black. There’s no complicated pitch to make here: it’s a straightforward piece of darkroom equipment, and its appeal is in having a tray for the job at hand. If you’re planning a 13x18 setup, this is the specific Kaiser tray to consider.

A place in your workflow

Darkroom work tends to involve a series of small, deliberate steps. Having the right kind of tray for the print you’re handling keeps the task clear: this is a developing tray, rather than a general-purpose container. That distinction matters when you’re gathering the basic equipment for printing, because each item has a defined role. The 13x18 format gives you a concrete size to match against your planned work. A black tray is also easy to identify by colour when you’re organising your darkroom gear. The honest point is that a tray won’t make the process itself easier to learn; it simply gives you the appropriate piece of equipment for this part of it. For photographers who value a focused, practical darkroom setup, that’s the point.
