Kaiser Ontwikkelschaal 18x24 Red

Kaiser Ontwikkelschaal 18x24 Red | A clear size reference for darkroom work

The defining choice is the 18x24 size: it gives you a concrete reference when choosing a developing tray for your darkroom. The Kaiser Ontwikkelschaal is a red developing tray, intended for the hands-on work of photographic development. Its name is direct about the details that matter most here: the product type, the size designation and the colour. If you’re organising a darkroom or replacing a tray, those are useful points to compare with the space and working format you have in mind. There’s no need to infer a special feature from the colour; red is simply part of this model’s description. For a straightforward tray with a stated size, this is an easy product to identify and consider.

Choosing a developing tray

Tray size is one of the first practical details to think through in a darkroom. Consider the format you plan to work with and the room you have around your work surface, then use the 18x24 designation as your reference while deciding if this is the size you need. That keeps the choice grounded in your own setup rather than in assumptions about what a tray should accommodate. The red finish also makes the product easy to distinguish by colour when you’re comparing darkroom equipment. It doesn’t tell you anything about the tray’s material or construction, so the useful facts to base your decision on are its role as a developing tray and its named size. Simple, specific information—exactly what you want when selecting a basic piece of darkroom equipment.
