Kaiser Wisselzak 40x43cm

Kaiser Wisselzak 40x43cm | Change film in daylight

Film changes can happen in daylight, without setting up a darkroom: the Kaiser Wisselzak 40x43cm is a foldable changing bag made for that job. It provides a dark working space for handling film, with a 40 × 43 cm size that gives you a clear measure of the space available. It’s aimed at film photographers who need to change film away from a permanent darkroom, whether they’re working at home or on location. Use it for changing film in daylight, or for other film-handling tasks that need a dark space. Its foldable construction means the bag can be packed away between sessions, rather than taking up a fixed place in your workspace. The black finish is a simple, practical detail for a piece of darkroom equipment. It’s a focused tool: the size and foldable format are the details to consider for the film work you have in mind.

Why it is useful

• Daylight film changes: The bag is intended for changing film in daylight, so you can carry out that task without relying on a dedicated darkroom. That’s useful when film needs attention away from a permanent darkroom setup.
• Foldable format: The changing bag folds away when you’re finished, so it doesn’t need to remain set up as a fixed darkroom space. This is a welcome detail when your film workspace also serves other purposes.
• 40 × 43 cm size: Its stated dimensions give you a specific size to plan around for film-handling work. Rather than guessing at the scale, you can judge the bag by its actual measurements.
• Dark working space: This is a changing bag made to provide a dark space for handling film. That makes it relevant for film tasks that need darkness, including changing film in daylight.
• Black finish: The bag is black, matching the straightforward look of traditional darkroom equipment. There are no extra colour options or decorative details to factor into your choice.
