Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 95mm
Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 95mm | A simple way to cover your filter
The magnetic fitting is what sets the Kase International Magnetic Back Cap apart: it gives you a cap for the back of a 95mm filter without a threaded fastening. It suits photographers who use filters in this size and want to cover them between setups or while packing their kit away. A back cap has a straightforward job: cover the rear side of the filter, so it’s less exposed when the filter isn’t in use. The magnetic design keeps that job simple, with no screw-on action to deal with. This is a focused accessory rather than a filter or a holder, so it makes sense when you already have a 95mm filter to store or handle. If your filters are a different size, this particular cap won’t be the one to reach for.
For a filter kit that gets packed and unpacked regularly, a dedicated back cap gives the filter a clear place in your routine: cover it when it comes off the camera, then remove the cap when you’re ready to use it again. The 95mm size is the key detail to match to your filter. Keep that in mind when sorting accessories; the magnetic fastening doesn’t change the size the cap is made for.
Specialist Note
The Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 95mm is made to cover the back of a 95mm filter, with magnetic attachment instead of a threaded cap. I’d recommend it to someone who already works with filters in that size and wants a simple way to cover one between uses. That magnetic fitting means you can take the cap off and put it back on without turning it through threads, which is handy when you’re moving between filters at a setup. Use it as a storage step: remove the filter, cover its back, then pack it away. Just keep the size in mind; this is specifically the 95mm version.
