Kondor Blue KB-DP8-BK 8" ARRI LIGHTWEIGHT DOVETAIL PLATE

Kondor Blue KB-DP8-BK 8" ARRI LIGHTWEIGHT DOVETAIL PLATE | A clearly sized plate for considered rig builds

Plan your camera build around a defined plate size: this Kondor Blue model is an 8-inch ARRI lightweight dovetail plate. It’s intended for filmmakers and camera teams who already know they need this type of plate and want the part identified clearly when planning a rig. The name gives you a specific length and format to compare with your build; that’s the useful starting point here, rather than a promise about what else it might fit. If you’re assembling or refining a setup, those details help you judge whether this is the plate your plan calls for. It’s a straightforward piece of rigging hardware, and its appeal is in that clear, specific designation. One honest point: the title alone doesn’t tell us how it interfaces with your other equipment, so don’t treat the name as a substitute for checking your rig’s requirements.

Choosing the right plate for your build

Before adding a plate to a rig plan, it helps to have the required size and type settled. Here, those identifiers are unusually easy to read: the model code is KB-DP8-BK, the length is 8 inches, and the named format is ARRI lightweight dovetail. Use those details to compare the item with the plate specified in your setup notes or equipment plan. If the wording matches what you need, the product name gives you a direct reference for your order and kit records. If you’re still deciding what kind of plate your build calls for, get that requirement clear first; this product description can’t establish fit with an unmentioned setup. That’s a practical, no-guesswork way to assess a specialist rigging part.
