Kondor Blue KB-KRT-C 12-24" ROT Komodo X/V Raptor EXT On 2.5mm
Kondor Blue KB-KRT-C 12-24" ROT Komodo X/V Raptor EXT On 2.5mm | A direct connection for compatible camera rigs
A rig can be awkward to cable when the camera’s EXT connection and your 2.5mm connection need to meet across a little distance. This Kondor Blue lead is made for that link, for setups using the Komodo X or V Raptor EXT connection. It gives you a specific cable route between those ends, rather than leaving you to adapt a connection that doesn’t match. That makes it relevant to camera operators and rig builders putting together a setup around those RED camera systems, especially when the connected gear can’t sit right beside the camera. Its stated reach runs from 12 to 24 inches, giving you some choice in how the cable sits on your rig. The useful thing here is its focused purpose: connecting the named camera port to a 2.5mm connection. It isn’t a general-purpose camera accessory, so the value depends on needing that particular connection.
Connection and setup
Plan the cable path before securing the rest of your rig. Leave enough slack for the layout you’re using, while avoiding a route that pulls at either connection. This keeps the lead’s job simple: bridge the two specified connection types within the space available on your setup. If your rig needs a different connection at either end, this is the wrong cable for that job.
Specialist Note
“Will this connect my Komodo X or V Raptor EXT port to a 2.5mm connection?” Yes—that’s the specific link this Kondor Blue lead is made for. The 12–24-inch range gives you room to choose a shorter route on a compact rig or leave more distance between the camera and the other connection; don’t stretch it taut just to reach. For a tidy build, route it from the camera’s EXT port along the rig to your 2.5mm connection, keeping the cable path clear of moving parts. I’d recommend it when those exact connections match your setup. Its usefulness is deliberately narrow: it won’t solve a rigging problem that calls for different connector types.
