Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III-Black

Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III-Black - 20.5-litre camera backpack

Pack a camera and several lenses for a day of walking, then keep your travel essentials in a separate part of the same bag. The Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW III-Black is a 20.5-litre camera backpack with a dedicated equipment section and space for a laptop up to 13 inches. Its two-stage QuickDoor opening gives you a smaller side access point for your camera, or a wider opening when you need to reach more of the kit. That’s useful on a city break, where you might move between street scenes and indoor stops, and on a hike where you want your camera close while keeping a layer or food apart from it. The padded dividers can be repositioned to hold a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a lens and up to three additional lenses. There’s also a roomy upper area for personal items, so your camera gear doesn’t have to share its compartment with a spare jumper. A laptop sleeve and supplied all-weather cover round out a backpack made for travel days when you’re carrying more than just a camera.

How it carries

• Two-stage QuickDoor access: Open the side section partway to reach the camera, or release the buckles and inner safety clip to open the equipment compartment further. The smaller opening keeps access focused on the camera; the full opening is useful when you need to rearrange your kit.
• Adjustable camera dividers: The padded dividers can be moved to fit your camera and lenses, keeping equipment separated as you walk. The layout accommodates a DSLR or mirrorless camera with an attached lens and up to three extra lenses.
• CradleFit laptop sleeve: A separate compartment holds a laptop up to 13 inches. The sleeve suspends it 2.5 cm above the bottom of the backpack, adding a buffer from impacts when you set the bag down.
• Weather-conscious exterior: A polyurethane coating helps guard the fabric against moisture, dirt and wear, while the included All Weather cover adds protection when the rain starts. It’s a useful extra layer, rather than a reason to leave the bag exposed to prolonged bad weather.
• Breathable back panel and shaped straps: Two zones of breathable material sit against your back, and the shoulder straps are padded and adjustable. That combination is welcome when the backpack stays on for a longer walk between stops.
• Side pocket and removable waist belt: A flexible side pocket carries a water bottle or compact tripod. The waist belt can be removed when you prefer a simpler carry setup.

What fits inside

The bag has three main storage areas: the camera compartment, the upper compartment and a front pocket. Keep your camera kit in the lower equipment section, with small accessories such as cables or batteries, or personal items like food and an extra layer, in the upper area. The laptop sleeve sits separately from the camera gear. The listed 20.5-litre capacity makes room for a camera setup and travel essentials, while keeping those parts of your load organised.
