Lowepro Fastpack BP 450 AW IV-Black

Lowepro Fastpack BP 450 AW IV-Black: Carry a full kit with quick camera access

At an airport gate, a camera bag needs to keep a working kit close while still fitting as cabin luggage. The Lowepro Fastpack BP 450 AW IV-Black is a 28-litre camera backpack with quick side access and a full-opening rear compartment. Its capacity suits a full-frame camera with a battery grip and four or five lenses, or two camera bodies with three or four lenses; there’s also room for drone equipment. That makes it a useful companion for a longer trip, a full day of shooting or a production that calls for more than one body. The side opening gets you to your camera without unpacking the main compartment, while opening the back gives you a clear view of your kit when it’s time to organise or retrieve items. Lowepro also lists the backpack as cabin-size compliant, a welcome detail for air travel. At 28 litres, this is a substantial pack rather than a compact day bag. It’s aimed at creators who carry a sizeable setup and value quick access, with a layout that also accounts for personal travel items.

Travel-ready details

• Collapsible divider: Separate camera gear from other items, then fold the divider away when you need a more open packing area. It gives the two-compartment layout flexibility for different loads.
• Recycled coated fabric: The black exterior uses coated recycled nylon with a subtle diamond pattern. It has a purposeful finish suited to regular travel and working days.
• Stretch side pockets: Two elasticated pockets can carry a water bottle and a compact travel tripod. Keeping these items outside the main camera compartment leaves that space for your kit.
• Accessible personal storage: A front pocket keeps personal belongings separate from camera equipment and close at hand. Top and bottom handles provide extra ways to grip the backpack while lifting or moving it.
• 16-inch laptop and passport pocket: A dedicated compartment holds a laptop up to 16 inches along with a passport in the same zippered area. That shared access is handy when you need to reach travel documents at a security checkpoint.
• Stowable padded waist belt: Use the padded belt for added carrying comfort and stability with heavier equipment, then tuck it away when you don’t need it. It stays out of sight between longer carries.
• Included AW Cover: The cover provides an extra layer of protection from rain, snow and sand. Keep it available for changing conditions on location or during travel.
