Marumi Protect Filter Exus 58 mm
Marumi Protect Filter Exus 58 mm | A simple layer of lens protection
Its job is deliberately simple: the Marumi Protect Filter Exus 58 mm puts a protective layer in front of your lens’s front element. It suits photographers who want to keep everyday dust, fingerprints and small marks away from the lens itself, especially when it’s handled often or used outdoors. Leave it in place for routine shooting, and you have a surface to clean without touching the lens’s front glass. This is a protection filter, not an accessory for changing colour or exposure; choose it for a practical buffer rather than a visible image effect. It’s a straightforward addition for anyone who prefers to take a little extra care of a lens during day-to-day use. For storage, use a lens cap as well.
Specialist Note
The Marumi Protect Filter Exus 58 mm is best at keeping everyday handling away from the lens’s front surface. Its 58 mm diameter means it’s intended for a lens with a matching 58 mm filter thread; once fitted, you can leave it on during ordinary shooting. The black colour gives the front of the lens a low-key look, rather than adding a bright accent. I’d suggest it if you often take the cap off outdoors or handle your lens between shots: keep the filter fitted, and wipe that surface instead of touching the front element. One sensible limit: it’s not a replacement for a lens cap when you put the lens away.
