On a compact cinema rig, a front-mounted matte box can add bulk right where you’re trying to keep the setup clear. The Mofage Poco Drop-In Filter Adapter Advanced Kit pairs a Sony E-to-PL lens mount adapter with a quick-change filter holder positioned at the rear of the adapter. It’s a neat way to use PL lenses on Sony E cameras while keeping filter changes close to the camera. The kit includes a variable ND cartridge with a 1–8 stop range, plus Black Mist, White Mist and Orange Streak options for shaping the image. That range makes the system useful for controlling exposure in bright conditions, softening highlights for a gentler look, or adding linear flares for a more stylised shot. A Pure Clear filter is included too, so the adapter can be used without an effect filter in place. The POCO system is aimed at filmmakers and camera crews who work with a set of PL lenses and want to change filters quickly without building a bulky filter setup in front of the lens. Its mount ring can also be replaced for other camera mounts, using the supplied hex key.

Filter and mount details

• Sony E-to-PL adapter: The supplied adapter connects PL lenses to Sony E cameras. It brings the lens mount and drop-in filter holder together in one compact assembly.
• Rear-mounted quick-change holder: Filters sit at the back of the adapter rather than in a front-mounted matte box. A side button releases each cartridge, which clicks back into place when fitted.
• Variable ND with hard stops: The VND cartridge runs from ND 0.3 to ND 2.4, or 1–8 stops, with hard stops at each end. The marked range makes it straightforward to set the amount of light reduction you need.
• 0.8 MOD drive gear: The VND has an integrated 0.8 MOD gear for connection to a follow-focus motor. That allows a crew member to adjust the filter remotely as the shot changes.
• Four mist strengths: The kit includes Black Mist and White Mist filters in both 1/8 and 1/4 strengths. Black Mist softens bright highlights while retaining shadow detail; White Mist creates a more washed, lower-contrast rendering.
• Orange Streak effect: This drop-in filter adds linear flares associated with anamorphic lenses. It offers a distinct flare effect without changing the lens in use.
• Support rail: An Arca-style support rail with a 1/4"-20 thread is included. It provides a mounting point for supporting the adapter on a rig.
