Nedis CAT5e SF/UTP-Network Cable RJ45M-RJ45M 5.0m Grey

Nedis CAT5e SF/UTP-Network Cable RJ45M-RJ45M 5.0m Grey | A straightforward link for wired network setups

Its combination of CAT5e and SF/UTP cable type makes this a clearly identified option for a wired network connection. The Nedis cable is suited to someone who needs to link two devices with RJ45 male connections and wants a five-metre run. Both ends use the same connector, so there’s no need to work out which end goes where. It’s a practical fit for a home or work setup where a cable connection is needed and the devices aren’t right beside each other. The grey colour is easy to distinguish from darker cables when you’re tracing a connection. One honest point: the right length depends on the route you need to take, not just the straight-line distance between devices. Allow room for the cable to follow that route without pulling at the connectors.

Planning your connection

Before placing the cable, consider where it needs to run and where each device sits. A route along a desk or around furniture may take more cable than the gap between the devices suggests. Planning that path first helps you avoid leaving the cable stretched across a walkway or tugging it into position once both ends are connected. The matching RJ45 male ends make the connection direction simple; the main task is choosing a sensible route and keeping the cable accessible if you need to trace it later. If you’re replacing an existing network cable, compare the connector style and cable markings with the one you’re taking out. That’s a straightforward way to check that this is the type of connection you need, without guessing based on colour alone.
