Nedis CAT6a Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 15.0m Snagless Round LSZH Grey Label

Nedis CAT6a Network Cable RJ45 M RJ45 M 15.0m Snagless Round LSZH Grey Label | A 15-metre wired link with snagless plugs

What sets this Nedis cable apart is the combination of a 15-metre length and snagless RJ45 connectors. It suits anyone who needs to run a wired network connection beyond the reach of a short lead, such as across a room or along a longer route between network points. Both ends have male RJ45 plugs, so the cable connects between matching RJ45 sockets. Its CAT6a rating identifies the cable category, while the round grey jacket and LSZH construction make the physical cable easy to identify when planning a run. Snagless connectors are designed to reduce the chance of catching on nearby edges or cables when you plug in or remove the lead. That detail is handy when the connection sits in a crowded area. The honest trade-off with any 15-metre cable is that you’ll want to plan its route rather than leave spare length underfoot.

Plan the route

Measure the path the cable will actually take, not just the distance between the two connection points. Allow for turns around furniture or along a wall, and think about where the cable will cross a doorway or walking route. A little planning makes it easier to keep the lead out of the way and avoid pulling it tight between sockets. If the route needs to pass through a busy area, consider how you’ll keep the cable from becoming a trip hazard. It’s also worth leaving the plug ends somewhere you can reach; a connection tucked behind heavy furniture can be awkward to access if you need to unplug it.

Make the connection accessible

For a straightforward setup, identify the two RJ45 sockets first, then lay out the cable along the planned route before connecting it. This gives you a chance to spot tight turns or places where the lead might be pinched. The snagless ends can be useful around other leads, but they don’t replace a clear route or accessible sockets. Once connected, keep the cable arranged so it doesn’t obstruct a walkway. The grey colour can also help distinguish this lead from others in a bundle, especially when you’re tracing which cable runs between two points.
