Nedis Speaker-Cable | 2X 0.75 mm² | CCA | 100.0m | Round

Nedis Speaker-Cable 2 × 0.75 mm² CCA 100 m Round | A long run in one length

What sets this Nedis cable apart is the combination of a 100-metre length and a clearly stated 2 × 0.75 mm² CCA specification. It’s for anyone putting together a speaker connection who wants plenty of cable to plan a longer run, rather than buying a short pre-cut lead. The round cable format is another practical detail when you’re laying out a route and need to follow its path. Its stated conductor size gives you a concrete basis for matching the cable to your project, while the CCA designation identifies the construction. There’s no need to read more into the title than that. For a straightforward speaker-cable job where length matters, this is a simple option to consider. One honest point: 100 metres is a lot of cable for a single short connection, so it makes most sense when your planned run calls for it.

Planning the run

Before you start, trace the route the cable will actually take and measure along that path. Going around a room, furniture or other obstacles can use more cable than a quick wall-to-wall estimate suggests. Leave a little working slack at the ends so the cable can reach the connection points without being pulled tight. If you’re planning several runs, note each measurement separately and add them up before you begin. That small bit of planning makes it easier to judge how much of the cable your layout needs and where to place any remaining length. Keep the route clear and tidy as you work; a measured plan is more useful than relying on a straight-line estimate.
