Nedis Speaker-Cable | 2X 4.00 mm² | CCA | 15.0m | Round | PVC | A 15-metre cable for speaker connections

A measured speaker-cable run makes it easier to route a connection neatly from your audio equipment to your speakers. This Nedis cable is supplied as a 15-metre length, with two 4.00 mm² conductors, so you can plan one continuous run and cut it to the length your setup needs. Its round shape is a practical detail to consider when mapping the route around your room; the PVC covering is part of the cable’s construction. The conductor material is identified as CCA. That’s the information to work from when you’re choosing cable for a particular installation. It’s suited to someone who needs speaker cable by the metre-length rather than a short pre-made lead. Before cutting, lay out the intended route and allow for the path the cable will actually take, not just the straight-line distance between components.

Plan the run before cutting

Start by measuring the route from the speaker connection to the equipment, following the path you intend the cable to take. A 15-metre length gives you room to plan a longer run, but the usable length depends on your layout and where you place the equipment. If you’re routing cable along a wall or around furniture, include those turns in your measurement. It’s also sensible to decide where each end needs to finish before trimming the cable. That small bit of planning helps avoid cutting too short and keeps the installation straightforward. The cable’s round profile and PVC construction are useful details to bear in mind as you decide how it will sit along that route.
