Nedis Stereo-Audio Cable 2X RCA Male 2X RCA Male Nickel Plated 5.00m Round

Nedis Stereo-Audio Cable 2X RCA Male 2X RCA Male Nickel Plated 5.00m Round | Reach between stereo audio components

The five-metre length is the defining choice here: it gives you room to position two pieces of stereo audio equipment apart, rather than having to keep them close together. This Nedis cable has two male RCA plugs at each end, making a direct connection between components with matching RCA audio sockets. It suits a home setup where you need to link a stereo audio output to an input that accepts the same connection. The cable is round, a straightforward shape to route along a shelf or behind furniture. Its connectors are nickel plated; that’s the stated finish, without any need to assume a particular effect on sound. Five metres gives you useful reach for a longer run, though it can leave extra slack when the equipment is side by side. That’s the honest trade-off with choosing a longer cable.

Making the connection

There are two RCA plugs at each end, so you can connect both parts of a stereo audio connection in one run. Match the plugs to the corresponding RCA audio sockets on your equipment, with one end at the audio output and the other at the input. Because both ends use male RCA connectors, this cable makes a direct connection between matching sockets; it doesn’t change to another connector type. Before routing it, consider where the two components will sit and where the cable can pass between them. The five-metre reach can help when the route needs to go around furniture or along a wall, while a shorter gap may leave spare cable to manage.
