Nedis USB 3.0-CABLE A M-A F 2.0m BL

Nedis USB 3.0 A Male to A Female Cable, 2.0 m, Blue | Extend a USB-A connection

You’re trying to place a USB-A connection a little farther from the device or socket it needs to reach. This Nedis cable gives you an A male plug at one end and an A female socket at the other, so it can extend a USB-A connection without changing its connector shape. It’s a straightforward option for a desk or workspace where the existing cable comes up short, and the two-metre length gives you some extra room to position the connected equipment. The cable is identified as USB 3.0, with a blue finish. Its job is specific: add reach between USB-A connections. If you need a different connector at either end, this isn’t the cable for that. For a simple extension, though, the male-to-female layout makes its purpose easy to understand before you plug it in.

How the connection is laid out

The male end plugs into a USB-A female connection; the female end gives you a place to connect a USB-A male plug. That arrangement is handy when the cable you already have can reach the extension, but doesn’t quite reach the position you want. It also keeps the connection type consistent from end to end, rather than converting to another connector. Think about where the extra length needs to go: this cable adds distance in a single direction, so it can help move the point where your existing lead connects. The blue colour makes the cable easier to pick out among other leads on a desk or behind equipment. There’s no need to overcomplicate it: match the A connectors at both ends to the connections you’re joining.
