Nedis USB-Cable USB 2.0 USB-A M USB-B M 10 W 480 Mbps Nickel Plated 2.00m PVC

Nedis USB-Cable USB 2.0 USB-A M USB-B M 10 W 480 Mbps Nickel Plated 2.00m PVC | A direct USB-A to USB-B connection

When a device has a USB-B socket and your setup uses USB-A, this Nedis cable gives you a direct connection between the two. It’s a practical option for a desk or work area where you need a 2.00m cable rather than a short lead. The USB-A male plug goes at one end, with a USB-B male plug at the other; the cable is specified for USB 2.0 and 480 Mbps. Its listed power rating is 10 W. For choosing the right cable, the key detail is the USB-B plug: the device you’re connecting needs that matching socket. The cable has a PVC covering and nickel-plated finish. It’s a straightforward piece of kit, with its value in getting the right two connector types and enough length for the setup.

Planning the connection

It helps to identify the sockets at both ends of your setup before choosing a cable. USB-A and USB-B are different connector shapes, so this lead is for a connection that calls for one of each—not for two matching ports. The 2.00m length gives you some room to position connected equipment without relying on a very short lead. If you’re replacing an existing cable, compare the plug shape at each end and the length you need; those details are more useful than choosing by the word “USB” alone. Keep the cable route in mind too, particularly if the equipment sits away from the computer or other USB-A connection.
