OM SYSTEM CHS-09 Floating Hand Strap For TG-Serie Red
OM SYSTEM CHS-09 Floating Hand Strap For TG-Serie Red | A handhold with flotation for waterside shooting
Without a hand strap, a TG camera is held directly, so an accidental slip near water can become a much bigger problem. The OM SYSTEM CHS-09 is a red floating hand strap intended for the TG-series. It gives you a way to keep the camera attached to your hand during use, while its floating design adds reassurance around water. That makes most sense for TG owners who take a camera to a pool, shoreline or other wet setting and want a simple way to keep hold of it rather than setting it down between moments. The red finish is easy to distinguish from a black camera body or dark bag contents. Treat the float as backup, not permission to let the camera go: water conditions and the full camera setup can affect what stays afloat. If you want a straightforward TG-series hand strap with flotation as part of its purpose, this is the point of the CHS-09.
Specialist Note
“Does the CHS-09 help if a TG camera slips into water?” Yes: its floating design is meant to add flotation, so it can be useful backup around a pool or shoreline. I’d still keep hold of the camera rather than rely on the strap to recover it after a drop; flotation isn’t a reason to test the limits. The hand-strap format suits someone who wants the camera secured to their hand while taking a quick waterside frame, rather than carrying it loose between shots. And the red colour is a practical visual cue when you’re sorting the camera from darker accessories. For TG-series owners, it stays focused on one job: a hand strap with flotation built in.
