PDMovie Motor Drive Cable (6 Pin) - 100 cm

PDMovie Motor Drive Cable (6 Pin) - 100 cm | A one-metre motor-drive cable

Its clearly stated six-pin connection and 100 cm length make this cable easy to identify when a rig calls for those specific details. The PDMovie Motor Drive Cable is suited to camera operators and crew sourcing a motor-drive cable for a setup that specifies PDMovie and a six-pin connection. Its most useful role is a straightforward one: providing a defined cable length for a particular motor-drive connection. That can make planning a cable run more straightforward, especially when the connection type is already known. One honest caution: a pin count alone doesn’t identify every compatible device. Match the connection to the requirements of your setup rather than relying on the cable name alone. If you know your setup calls for this type of cable, the product name gives you the key details for narrowing down your choice.

Plan the cable run

When laying out a rig, measure the route the cable will actually follow, not just the gap between connection points. The path may need to go around equipment or along a support, and bends can use up more length than a direct line suggests. Leave enough room for the cable to follow that route without being pulled tight. A little planning helps avoid finding that a cable run is awkward once the setup is assembled. It’s a practical step for any rig, and especially helpful when the cable length is a deciding factor.

Keep the cable’s connection details in view when comparing it with the requirements for your setup. Similar-looking cables can serve different connection needs, so choosing by length alone may not be enough. This one is most relevant when both the motor-drive purpose and the specified connection are clear.
