Permajet Titanium Gloss Metallic 24inch Roll - 30MTR

Permajet Titanium Gloss Metallic 24inch Roll - 30MTR | A long roll for photo printing

For photo printing, individual sheets can mean stopping to reload as a job progresses. This Permajet paper comes as a roll, giving printmakers a continuous length of stock to work with. It’s a specialist photo paper named Titanium Gloss Metallic, in a 24-inch width and a 30-metre roll. That format suits photographers and printmakers who produce work as part of a roll-based printing workflow, rather than shoppers looking for a small pack of loose sheets. The metallic gloss designation is central to the choice: you’re selecting this particular paper type and finish, rather than a general-purpose photo paper. One practical consideration is the quantity. A 30-metre roll is intended for planned printing, so it makes more sense when you have a body of work or regular output in mind than when you only need a few test prints.

Choosing a roll format

The roll format gives you length to work through without treating every print as a separate sheet purchase. That can be useful when you’re preparing several images for a print run or working through a larger project. The 24-inch width is the other key part of the format; it gives you a clear measurement to use when planning the size and layout of your prints. Keep the roll’s width and length in mind alongside your intended jobs, especially if your output varies in size. The name also makes the paper choice straightforward to distinguish when you’re comparing stocks: this is Permajet’s Titanium Gloss Metallic paper, supplied as a 30-metre roll. If you’re weighing up papers for a particular look, the title identifies the finish to consider; the best choice will depend on what you want your finished prints to look like. There’s no need to buy a roll just for a handful of prints, but for ongoing photo work, the roll format gives you a substantial length of paper to plan around.
