PocketWizard Remote Acc Cable Sony

PocketWizard Remote Acc Cable Sony - 90 cm remote release cable

Getting to the camera to release the shutter can interrupt a setup or a carefully timed shot. The PocketWizard Remote ACC Cable Sony is 90 cm long and connects a compatible PocketWizard radio to a Sony or Minolta camera’s remote shutter terminal. It passes through half-press and full-press commands, so you can operate the camera’s release remotely rather than reaching for it. Use it to trigger a camera from a separate position, or to keep a compatible camera awake and ready when paired with a Plus III or a newer MultiMAX radio. That second function is useful when a camera needs to remain prepared between exposures. The cable is also a good fit for remote camera control with supported Sony and Minolta bodies, including selected film models with a cable-release socket. It’s a specific connection cable, so compatibility depends on both the camera terminal and the PocketWizard radio.

Highlights

• Half- and full-press control: The cable carries both stages of the release command, giving a compatible radio more control than a simple trigger-only connection.
• Sony/Minolta remote terminal: Its camera-side connector is made for the remote shutter terminal used by supported Sony and Minolta cameras.
• 3.5 mm stereo connection: The radio-side plug is a 1/8-inch (3.5 mm) stereo miniphone connector.
• Camera-ready function: With a Plus III or newer MultiMAX, the cable can keep the camera active and ready for the next remote command.
• 90 cm cable length: The short lead connects the radio and camera without a long cable run between them.

Good to know

Radio compatibility varies by model. The PlusX supports triggering only, while a MultiMAX needs an ACC port for this cable. For older PocketWizard radios, the included MSMM miniphone adapter provides the connection. Supported Minolta film cameras need a cable-release port; this cable is not a general-purpose remote lead for cameras without the matching terminal.
