PolarPro VND Diffusion Filter 2/5 Stops Mist Edition 95mm
PolarPro VND Diffusion Filter 2/5 Stops Mist Edition 95mm | Control exposure with a mist effect
Without an ND filter, bright light can leave you choosing between your preferred shutter speed and a comfortable exposure. This PolarPro VND Diffusion Filter combines variable light reduction with a mist-style diffusion effect, so you can adjust exposure while adding a softer look to the image. Its stated range runs from 2 to 5 stops: useful when you want some control in daylight, without changing filters for each small exposure adjustment. The Mist Edition makes it relevant to photographers and filmmakers who want diffusion as part of the look, rather than treating exposure control as the only goal. It’s especially suited to daylight video, where holding a chosen shutter speed matters, and to stills where you want to manage incoming light without closing the aperture as far. The 95mm size is a key fit detail; match it to the filter thread or holder you use. The appeal here is the pairing of variable ND and diffusion in one filter.
Specialist Note
“Can I adjust exposure and get a mist effect with this filter?” Yes—that’s the point of this specific edition. The 2-to-5-stop range gives you room to reduce light as conditions change; for daylight video, set the shutter speed you want first, then work within that range to bring exposure down. The Mist treatment adds diffusion, so it suits filmmakers and photographers after a gentler rendering rather than a purely neutral exposure tool. The 95mm size matters when you’re choosing a filter for your lens setup, so match that measurement before buying. One practical limit: five stops is the stated maximum, so very bright scenes may still call for another exposure adjustment.
