Pro-Mounts Universal Smartphone Clip
Pro-Mounts Universal Smartphone Clip | Keep your phone on a tripod
The defining design decision is its straightforward clip format: Pro-Mounts makes this as a tripod accessory for a smartphone, rather than as a standalone phone support. That gives you a simple way to bring a phone into a tripod setup when you want a steadier, fixed viewpoint. It suits anyone who uses a smartphone for video calls, recording or a hands-free view and wants the phone held in place while they work. The most useful role is a practical one: position your phone with your tripod, compose the view, and keep your hands free. The “Universal” name points to broad intended use, but this product page doesn’t establish a particular phone-size range or fit measurement, so I wouldn’t assume a specific fit from the name alone. It’s a focused accessory, not a complete support system; you’ll need a tripod as well.
Specialist Note
A quiet desk is ready for a video call, and the phone needs to stay framed while you take notes. This clip is made for that kind of simple setup: it’s a smartphone clip, so it gives your phone a place in the composition, and it’s a tripod accessory, so you can use a tripod to position the view. For a one-phone setup, fit the phone in the clip, arrange the framing before you begin, and leave your hands free. It also suits recording a short, steady piece of video without holding the phone throughout. The honest limitation is that the clip isn’t a tripod by itself; its usefulness depends on having a tripod to pair it with.
