Radius Windcover For Rycote WS8 Windshield
Radius Windcover For Rycote WS8 Windshield | Helps protect your windshield in a gear bag
Rather than adding another bulky case to your kit, the Radius Windcover For Rycote WS8 Windshield is a protective pouch for keeping the windshield from getting scratched or knocked about inside a larger bag. It suits sound recordists and camera crews who carry their Rycote WS8 alongside other equipment and want a simple layer of protection during storage and transport. Place the windshield in the pouch before packing it with the rest of your gear; that helps keep everyday contact with other items from scuffing or bumping it. Its job is specific: it protects the WS8 when it’s packed away, rather than serving as a general equipment bag. If you already use a larger bag for your kit, this gives the windshield its own place within it without requiring a separate case.
Specialist Note
The Radius Windcover For Rycote WS8 Windshield is best at protecting your WS8 while it travels inside a larger gear bag. I’d use it when packing the windshield alongside other equipment: put it in the pouch first, then place it in the bag to help prevent scratches and knocks from nearby kit. It’s aimed specifically at the Rycote WS8, so it makes sense for someone who already uses that windshield and wants a dedicated way to store it. One practical point: think of it as a protective pouch for bag storage, not as a standalone hard case for heavy impacts.
