Rycote Pair Of Single Lyre 82 (19/25) w/ Premod Adap.&scr.
Rycote Pair Of Single Lyre 82 (19/25) w/ Premod Adap.&scr. | A focused component for Lyre microphone setups
Its defining choice is the single-Lyre format: this is supplied as a pair of individual components, rather than being described as a complete microphone mount. That makes it relevant to sound recordists working with a Rycote Lyre setup who need this particular part and sizing. The product name specifies 82 and 19/25, so those designations are useful when matching it to the setup you’re working on. It also names a Premod adapter and screw, making this a more specific assembly than a pair of Lyres alone. The Lyre is the microphone-support element; in use, that kind of support helps keep the microphone separated from its mounting point. This is best suited to people who already know the Lyre format they need, such as audio technicians maintaining a recording rig or building a microphone support around a particular microphone size. It’s a specialised accessory, not a general-purpose microphone kit.
Specialist Note
For location recordists capturing dialogue or interviews, this pair is worth considering when the 82 (19/25) designation matches the Lyre part you need. The two single Lyres give you a pair of individual support elements, which is useful when you’re working on more than one matching position or replacing a pair. The named Premod adapter and screw matter because they’re part of the specified configuration, rather than details you need to source separately. I’d treat this as a targeted component for an existing microphone-support setup, not as a complete mounting solution. Its usefulness depends on needing this particular Lyre format and designation; it isn’t a substitute for choosing the right support system for your rig.
