Rycote Pair Of Single Lyre 82 (19/25) w/ Stereo Risers
Rycote Pair Of Single Lyre 82 (19/25) w/ Stereo Risers | A paired suspension setup for stereo microphones
The defining choice here is a pair of Single Lyre suspensions, supplied with stereo risers: Rycote has made this set for arranging two microphone positions as a stereo setup. It suits recording situations where you want a matched pair of mounts rather than building a stereo arrangement from single parts. The 19/25 sizing gives you two stated microphone diameter options to work with, while “82” identifies the Lyre version in the product name. The stereo risers are part of the setup, helping you position the two mounts for stereo recording. This is a focused accessory, not a general-purpose microphone kit: its appeal is in having the paired Lyres and stereo risers together. If you’re planning a stereo microphone rig, it gives you a clear starting point for mounting the pair.
Specialist Note
At first light, a pair of microphones is set up to record the quiet detail of a landscape. This is where the paired Lyres and stereo risers make sense: you can build around two microphone positions instead of piecing together a stereo arrangement one mount at a time. The 19/25 sizing matters when choosing a fit; match the stated size to your microphone’s diameter before setting up. The “82” is part of this Lyre version’s designation, so keep the full product name to hand when sourcing the same setup again. I’d point stereo recordists towards this pair; if you only need one microphone position, the second mount and risers may be more than you need.
