Sachtler SAC-SN605 Heavy Duty Harness
Sachtler SAC-SN605 Heavy Duty Harness | Support for handheld video
The Sachtler SAC-SN605 Heavy Duty Harness is a shoulder rig for handheld video work that calls for extra camera support. It suits video operators who want to work handheld rather than set the camera on a fixed support, such as when filming an interview or covering an event. Used in its shoulder-rig role, it gives you a supported way to operate the camera while keeping the shot handheld. The purpose is specific: extra support for video work where you’re holding the camera yourself. That can be useful when you need to maintain a shot or follow activity without switching to a stationary setup. This isn’t a tripod for locked-off framing; it’s a rig for supported handheld operation. Choose it for that job, rather than expecting a different kind of camera support.
Specialist Note
The Sachtler SAC-SN605 Heavy Duty Harness is a shoulder rig for adding support to handheld video work. I’d consider it for an interview where you need to keep the camera handheld, or for event coverage where you’re following what’s happening rather than filming from one fixed position. In both cases, use it as a shoulder rig while operating handheld; that’s the job it’s made for. It’s a focused piece of kit, not a substitute for a stationary tripod when you need a locked-off shot. If extra support during handheld video is your priority, this Sachtler has a clear role.
