Saramonic K9 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter w/ IP67-RATED | Trigger off-camera flash for portraits and product shots

Fire an off-camera flash to shape light around a portrait or bring out the detail in a product shot. The Saramonic K9 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter is a digital wireless flash trigger in a bodypack format, with an IP67 rating. It’s aimed at photographers who want to place their flash away from the camera and trigger it remotely while arranging the subject and light. For portraits, that gives you room to position the flash for more deliberate lighting; for product work, it helps you set the light around the object rather than relying on the camera’s position. The K9’s job is specific: transmit the trigger so an off-camera flash can fire. It doesn’t create or shape the light itself, so you’ll still need a flash and a lighting position that suits the subject.

Specialist Note

The bodypack form gives the K9 a distinct, separate-transmitter design, which suits a setup where your flash is away from the camera. For a portrait, position the off-camera flash where you want the light to fall, then use the K9 to trigger it; the same approach works for a small product, where careful light placement can bring out its shape. Its digital wireless format is central to that remote-triggering role, while the IP67 rating is a useful detail to weigh if your lighting setup moves between locations. One thing to keep in mind: this is a trigger, not a flash or a light-shaping accessory, so it works best as part of a lighting setup you’ve already planned.
