Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.6 HE 6.6x6.6
Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.6 HE 6.6x6.6 | Two stops of light control
In bright daylight, you may want a slower shutter speed to show movement in water, or a wider aperture without overexposing the scene. The Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.6 HE is a neutral density filter for reducing the light reaching the camera, giving you more room to make that exposure choice. It’s suited to photographers and cinematographers who want measured light reduction rather than relying on a very dark filter. The 0.6 density provides a defined amount of attenuation, while the 6.6x6.6 format identifies its square filter size. That makes the key appeal straightforward: a specific ND strength in a clearly specified format. Use it when you want to adjust exposure while keeping your intended shutter speed or aperture, rather than changing the look of the scene by changing those settings.
Specialist Note
This 0.6 filter gives you a practical two-stop reduction when bright conditions are getting in the way of your chosen exposure. For example, if you want a slower shutter to soften the movement of a stream, fit the filter and use those two stops to lengthen the exposure while keeping the scene properly exposed. Its 6.6x6.6 square format is the other detail to plan around: it’s intended for a setup that takes that filter size, so the format matters as much as the density. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a measured, moderate reduction; it won’t replace a stronger ND when you need a much longer exposure in full sun.
