Shape Magic Arm 7INCHES - MA7
Shape Magic Arm 7INCHES - MA7 | Adds support to handheld video
During a handheld video take, extra camera support can make a shoulder rig a more suitable setup than simply holding the camera unaided. The Shape Magic Arm 7INCHES - MA7 is a shoulder rig intended for exactly that kind of work. It’s relevant to video makers who want additional support while filming handheld, whether they’re recording an interview or following a subject for a short moving shot. The product name gives a 7-inch size reference, which is useful when you’re planning the space for your rig. Its role is straightforward: provide extra support for the camera during handheld video work. That makes it worth considering when the camera feels difficult to support through a take, but you want to keep working handheld. It’s a rig component, rather than a camera or a complete filming setup, so think about how it will fit into the way you already work before building around it.
Specialist Note
The MA7 is for adding support to handheld video without relying on an unaided hold. As a shoulder rig, it’s aimed at camera operators who want extra support during a take, rather than a different camera or a change to their filming style. The 7-inch designation is a practical size reference when you’re planning the space for your rig arrangement; keep that measurement in mind as you decide how to position your setup. I’d consider it for handheld interview footage or a short moving shot where supporting the camera is the priority. It’s a focused rig component, so it makes most sense as part of a setup you’ve planned around your own filming needs.
