The 1.33× anamorphic squeeze is the defining choice here: it lets filmmakers create a wider cinematic frame while using a full-frame image area. Sirui built this 75mm cine prime for Sony E-mount cameras, with manual focus and a T1.8 maximum aperture for controlled shots in dim interiors or scenes where you want less depth of field. At 75mm, it’s a short telephoto, so faces and details fill the frame without the perspective of a wide lens. That makes it well suited to scripted scenes, interviews and carefully composed close-ups. This is the Neutral Flare version, for filmmakers who want to keep flare from becoming the visual focus. Its view is purposeful rather than expansive, so plan your framing around the tighter perspective and leave room to work. It’s a lens for deliberate filmmaking, not fast, hands-off coverage.

Specialist Note

Focus work stays deliberate with this 75mm: settle on a portrait or dialogue close-up, then make a measured manual pull. On a Sony E full-frame body, T1.8 gives you room to work in dim interiors and helps separate a face from the background; for an interview, place your subject a little forward of the background and keep focus on the nearer eye. The 1.33× squeeze gives you a wider cinematic composition from that telephoto viewpoint, but remember to view or process the image with the matching desqueeze. Its tight framing can feel restrictive in a small room, so it pairs best with space to step back.
