SmallHD Ultra 7 Bolt 6 TX 1500
SmallHD Ultra 7 Bolt 6 TX 1500 | A field monitor for on-set viewing
On a busy set, it helps to have a monitor dedicated to viewing the shot rather than relying on the camera operator’s display. The SmallHD Ultra 7 Bolt 6 TX 1500 is a field monitor for that role, with a model name that identifies the Ultra 7 and Bolt 6 TX 1500 configuration. It suits camera crews and filmmakers who want a separate viewing point while working on location or on a set. The 7 in Ultra 7 points to its seven-inch format: a practical size for checking a composition without turning the monitor into a large piece of kit. The Bolt 6 TX 1500 designation makes this a particular configuration, so it’s worth selecting by that full name rather than treating it as a generic Ultra 7. Its clearest appeal is bringing a dedicated monitor into a setup where viewing the shot is part of the work.
Specialist Note
The seven-inch format gives the Ultra 7 a defined place in a rig: it’s a separate viewing surface, not a replacement for the camera itself. I’d point a crew toward this version when they specifically need the Bolt 6 TX 1500 configuration, rather than simply wanting an Ultra 7 field monitor. That distinction matters when you’re choosing equipment for a particular setup. For a director checking a frame beside the camera, or a focus puller who needs a monitor position of their own, it gives the viewing task its own place. My honest advice is to shop by the complete model name; the TX 1500 is part of what makes this exact version the one to consider.
